We are looking for Jacoba Johanna Keet. She was born in 1853. She married David Wilson (born in 1843 in Glascow) in 1869 at Montagu. She grew up in the Joubert family. Any information will be most welcome.

The furthest we’ve been able to trace the South African branch of the Keet family back to was to Johannes Rynhard Keet (died on 18 Jul 1787) that emigrated to SA from Bingen, Germany in the 1700s.

This was very interesting.My grand farther Pieter Keet was related (cousins) to Albertus Daniel Keet (the Afrikaans poet)He had a son Albert Keet. (my farther ) John Keet my grands brother visited the town Bingem on the Rhein in Germany from where Reinhard Keet (Khuut??) immigrated to the Cape.Most of this info is hearsay. Regards

I have now discovered that Johanna Henrietta Keet was born in 1848 and born in the Cape Province. She married George William Tittleton on 28 June 1869 at the Caledon Square Church in Cape Town, (off Buitenkant Street). Her first daughter she named Johanna Aletta Elena Tittleton (I think these names were Keet family names). Any assistance will be most helpful.
